Volunteer

The Hospitality Committee supports many of the events at our school, including Welcome Picnic, Back To School Night, Teacher Appreciation, etc. Hospitality also ensures support for families during challenging times. Volunteer work includes chairing sub-committees and creating a welcome feeling for both our community and those who visit VCMS.

 

Parent Ed is a small committee that works to bring speakers to VCMS to talk on various parent education/child development topics that reflect and support the school's values and philosophy.

 

This committee is in charge of making our school look great. Whether it's helping clean up the school, making sure our plants get watered, or hanging new banners, there is always something to do. Let's make sure the outside of our school looks as great as the learning going on inside the school!

 

The outreach committee’s main goal is to create a highly diverse student population at Valley Charter Middle School. Volunteering involves reaching out to new communities, building partnerships, assisting with school tours, orientation meetings, and various outreach events. Second Language speakers and those with ties to various ethnic communities are much needed, and parents have great social and communication skills.

 

This committee helps chair our annual giving campaign and other exciting fundraising events, including Family Game Night, Color FundRacer, and the Annual Giving Talent Show. Our school can only maintain its small class size, have A.T.'s in every class, and offer exciting electives and enrichment classes thanks to the generosity of those who donate to the school. Please join us in helping make our fundraising efforts a success.
